Opening Performance of Developer's Midnight FantasyThursday, September 23, 1-3pm & Wednesday, September 29, 1-3pm at the Ashley Schiff Preserve Need help getting there? A guided walking group will depart from the Zuccaire Gallery at 12:45pm. Or click here for directions and a map. The Developer’s Midnight Fantasy is a 2-week outdoor art installation by artist Annemaire Waugh that invites visitors to consider the fragility of nature through an imagined clear-cutting of the Ashley Schiff Preserve. The project will feature two live performances in the Ashley Schiff Preserve with music composed by Tommy Wu & Daniel Cohen and Performed by Stony Brook Music Ensemble and will feature the cello, violin, flute, mandolin, bassoon, and guitar (9/23). The second performance (9/29) will feature a dance ensemble performing the "Animals of the Forest." Directed by Amy Yopp Sullivan with costumes designed by Marta Baumiller. |
