Sept 21: CommUniversity Day and Museum Day

Stop by the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery and our table on the Academic Mall on Saturday, September 21 from 12-4pm for CommUniversity Day at Stony Brook!

Join the University campus community as we share our fascinating, innovative and entertaining world through hands-on, interactive activities. Visitors can explore, receive special offers and take part in activities on the Academic Mall, at the Staller steps, and in the Gallery.

On view in the Gallery is THE VIEW FROM HERE: Contemporary Perspectives From Senegal, featuring work by 11 artists creating work from this West African nation.

ACTIVITY “Souwere”: Create a picture inspired by Fally Sene Sow’s souwere collage under glass painting! We will have materials on hand for kids and adults to make a “souwere” picture to take home.

On September 21, the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery is also participating in the Smithsonian’s Museum Day. Stop by for free mini-tours, hands-on activities, and a fascinating exhibition.
