Christopher Seidensticker

Associate Director of Public Safety

Chris Seidensticker has worked in the security industry for 14 years. As a seasoned security professional, he is passionate about advancing the training, professional outlook, and morale of the staff. He began his career as a Security Services Assistant in 2007 and after six years he was promoted to a supervisory role.

Throughout his career, Chris has gained vast experience in customer service, physical security, infant protection, access control, and risk management. Among his many accomplishments, as part of regulatory compliance, Chris spearheaded a CPR program for the Public Safety department.

In addition to his security service, Chris was also a Volunteer Firefighter 12 years, a New York State EMT for nine years, and a Paramedic for three years.

Chris’ diverse background in both the healthcare and emergency fields has helped him excel in the fast-paced environment at Stony Brook. His goals are to continue the strong relationship between Stony Brook Medicine and Public Safety, ensuring an environment conducive to health and learning.
