    Bio/Research

    Ginny Clancy has over 35 years of experience at Stony Brook University, including 10 years of administrative support in the Office of the President, and Special Projects Coordinator for the Vice President for Entrepreneurial Programs.

    She was part of the lead administrative team which launched the academic programs at the Southampton Campus. She served as Assistant to the Dean for Southampton, and the Operations Manager for the Center for Wine, Food & Culture at Stony Brook from 2006-2010.

    Ginny joined the Sustainability Studies Academic program in 2010 when those programs were relocated to the main campus, and served as Undergraduate and Graduate Program Coordinator until 2016.  Her many roles included 6 years of service on the Campus Earthstock Committee and Campus Sustainability Task Force.

    As part of a merger in 2016, Ginny has now joined the team at SoMAS.  She now serves as the Graduate Program Coordinator of the Educational Programs Office. Ginny received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences – areas of concentration included; Political Science, History, Sociology, and Psychology.  She went on to attain her Master’s degree in Liberal Studies focusing on Women’s Studies and Art History, as well as the Advanced Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration at Stony Brook University.

    Ginny was nominated and selected to receive The Chancellors Award for Excellence in 2016 in the area of Professional Service.
