First in Class: STRIDE Graduates its First Alumnus, Xin Zhou, PhD

While still a relatively new program, STRIDE is proud to announce  its first recipient  of the Science Training and Research to Inform DEcisions advanced graduate certificate, C-STRIDE. Xin Zhou, a PhD student from the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences studied within the laboratory of Marat Khairoutdinov, PhD. While a STRIDE Trainee, Xin was one of the first winners of the annual STRIDE-Con visualization contest. As a result of winning this contest, he was given the opportunity to participate in Edward Tufte's one-day visualization workshop in Boston. As a STRIDE trainee, Xin had the opportunity to intern at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, where he is now considering a postdoctoral position.
