ThINC Reopening Plan (COVID-19 Update June 10, 2020)
After a harsh time of shut down, today begins Governor Cuomo's Phase 2 of the "New York Forward" plan on Long Island, now allowing ThINC to reopen. To adapt to the new normal and in accordance with the New York State and Stony Brook University guidelines, we have applied a few changes to ThINC operation: (a) To reduce the in-person interactions and possible cross-contamination, some forms of activities are still suspended, including user training, user self-operation, and user participation in the imaging and characterization process. (b) All users will be required to fill out the Service Request Form, and email to ThINC@stonybrook.edu. Once we receive the form, we will review it and schedule the time for sample delivery. After finishing imaging and characterization, data will be uploaded to Google Drive for users to access. Please be on time for the delivery schedule as AERTC building is card-access only. (c) All discussions and communications will be made via email or conference call only. Please note that the turnaround time might be slightly longer due to the limited workforce. We appreciate your patience and continued support. Please continue to check our website for updates and changes. Thank you!
