Esteban Agosin Otero, Assistant Professor

Sound Art, Critical Making, Radio
Esteban Agosin is a sound and electronic media artist originally from Valparaiso, Chile. In 2024, he received a PhD in Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) at the University of Washington. His work engages with the question of how technology provide a perspective to observe and understand our natural, social and political environment. And also, inquiring on the aesthetic possibilities of using art and technology in order to re-imagine and speculate about our environment.

Alex Boeschenstein, Assistant Professor
Printmaking, Drawing
Alex Boeschenstein is a printmaker, interdisciplinary artist, and educator based in New York. Alex’s work focuses fundamentally on history—how it haunts the present and how it failed the future. He utilizes the frameworks of weird fiction, gothic Marxism, Cold War parapolitics, and geoscience as tools for gaining fragmentary access to the unthinkable undersides of contemporary society. Each project addresses different yet interrelated concerns, themes, and research avenues—usually informed by regional context—through a balance of archival research, fieldwork, on-site exploration, material salvage, and studio experimentation

Andrew Falkowski, Assistant Professor
Contemporary Painting
Andrew Falkowski's work has moved across portraiture, collage, text, and tondo painting, developing discursive bodies of work that investigate the relationships between language, material process, and visual form. Central to his practice are text-based paintings that recombine fragments of everyday language—drawn from advertising, popular culture, and printed ephemera—into constructed “ransom note” compositions that examine how cultural narratives are absorbed, internalized, and reconfigured.

Courtney M. Leonard, Assistant Professor
Offshore Art, Indigenous Studies
Courtney M. Leonard is a multimedia artist and filmmaker from the Shinnecock Nation in Long Island, New York. As a contributor to the Offshore Art Movement, Leonard’s practice investigates narratives of cultural viability as a reflection of environmental record. Her work is guided and embodies multiple definitions of “breach,” leading to exploration and documentation of historical ties to water, whale, and material sustainability.

Vick Quezada, Assistant Professor
Queer Indigenous Latinx Borderlands
Vick Quezada is an interdisciplinary artist specializing in sculpture and interdisciplinary art practices. Their work explores Mestiza/x and Indigenous-Latinx histories, queer and Indigenous epistemologies, and US-Mexico border politics, with a focus on material culture and Rasquachismo (found object). Quezada holds a BA from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MFA from University Massachusetts at Amherst.

Alex Strada, Charles C. Bergman Visiting Professor of Studio Art
Interdisciplinary Art, Socially Engaged Art
Alex Strada's socially engaged artwork reimagines systems of power and creates platforms for collectivity and transformation. Working across sculpture and installation, video, photography, archives, and public practice, her projects are often long-term, unfolding through sustained collaborations that guide both their process and form. Since 2022, Strada has served as the Public Artist in Residence with the New York City Department of Homeless Services and the Department of Cultural Affairs.
