RECKONING: Student Digital Mural

mural This fall, the  Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery  presents an online Student Mural with the theme of RECKONING, in conjunction with the Faculty Exhibition  of the same theme. All Stony Brook University students are welcome to contribute to the Student Mural.

In 2020, we are experiencing a pandemic, quarantine, major changes to how we learn, work and live, xenophobia and racial injustice, Black Lives Matter protests, political activism, #MeToo, controversy over monuments, climate change, uncertainty of the future, and more. In light of the challenges the world is facing today, creative responses form a crucial component of expression, activism and hope for the future.

Join the Zuccaire Gallery and fellow students in creating a space for community, hope, change, and healing. Stony Brook University students are invited to submit artwork, photographs, poems, writing or music.

The mural will go live online October 1 and continue to grow as students submit throughout the fall semester. A link to the mural will be posted on the here on  October 1, 2020.
