Funding and Timeline

Long Islanders Peter and Nancy Richard invested $3.5M in pediatric emergency department expansion.
On October 5, 2018, Stony Brook University honored Peter and Nancy Richard and family for their $3.5 million gift to Stony Brook Children's Hospital emergency department expansion by naming the new building’s lobby the "Peter & Nancy Richard Family Foundation Lobby."(left to right) Peter Richard, Jr., Zachary Bohl, Patty Richard, Lauren Bohl, Victoria Catoir, Nancy Richard, Anhthony Bohl, Peter Richard, Bill Noke, Kim Richard-Bohl, Susan Richard-Habberstad, Courtney Habberstad and Peter Richard.
Two Anonymous Donors from Community have donated $2M to expand pediatric emergency services at Stony Brook Children’s.
Following the Peter and Nancy Richard Family Foundation's $3.5 million lead gift to establish the Pediatric Emergency Expansion Fund, two additional donors have joined the Richard Family, contributing an additional $2 million to the Fund.
