Dr. Sheng Yin, Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Sheng Yin is a Postdoctoral Associate with the NYS Center for Clean Water Technology. Dr. Yin's doctoral research at the University of Texas at El Paso (2024) focused on designing engineered nanomaterials for the adsorption and catalytic degradation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from environmental water sources. He also holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural, Environmental, and Sustainability Sciences from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (2019), where his work centered on the application of nano-TiO 2 in groundwater contaminant remediation. Dr. Yin’s research interests lie in the development of advanced materials and electrochemical methods for environmental applications, with a specific focus on PFAS removal and destruction. He is committed to advancing water treatment technologies to address emerging contaminants, with a goal of improving public health and sustainability.
