Faculty interested in applying should submit a formal proposal for committee review. The deadline for the 2025-2027 fellowships is Friday, January 17, 2025. One of the fellowship lines in the 2025-2027 cohort will be dedicated for a professor specifically seeking to develop and implement high impact practices for first-year students. Please include:
- Abstract (500 words max)
- Project Description (five pages max)
- Resume/CV or Biosketch
- Evidence of approval from Department Chair or College Dean for the proposed research (in the form of an email or signed letter is sufficient)
In the Project Description please provide a proposed research plan, and how this pedageological intervention will benefit teaching and learning at Stony Brook University. Please indicate any resources (i.e. facilities, laboratories, equipment) that might be needed for your proposal.

Applications will undergo a peer-review selection process by a committee of faculty and staff. The review committee will respond with offers of fellowships within three weeks after the deadline.

Eligibility
All full-time faculty, across all disciplines, are welcome to apply. If selected, non-tenure track faculty will need to obtain a letter of support from their Chair confirming at least a two year full-time departmental appointment during their time as a Fellow.
