Dartmouth's Coastal and Marine Ecosystem Research Collaborative (CMERC) (2012)
"In 2010, the Toxic Metals Superfund Research Program at Dartmouth College brought together a group of 50 scientists and policy stakeholders to form C-MERC, the Coastal and Marine Mercury Ecosystem Research Collaborative.This report published in November 2012 "...provides and overview of the major policy challenges and opportunities related to mercury in coastal and marine environments, and highlights science and policy linkages of the past several decades."  Integrating mercury science and policy in the marine context: Challenges and opportunities, K.F. Joint FAO/WHO Expert Consultation on the Risks and Benefits of Fish Consumption (2010)

This report released in January 2010 was the result of the task group's effort "to review data on levels of nutrients (long-chain omega-3 fatty acids) and specific chemical contaminants (methylmercury and dioxins) in a range of fish species and to compare the health benefits of fish consumption and nutrient intake with the health risks associated with contaminants present in fish."

Meeting Report: Methylmercury in Marine Ecosystems-From Sources to Seafood Consumers
This paper is a result of a National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences-Superfund Basic Research Program workshop held in New Hampshire November 2006. The workshop focused on the biogeochemical cycling of mercury in marine environments, the trophic transfer and bioaccumulation of mercury in the food web, and human exposure to mercury from marine fish and shellfish consumption. Recommended areas of further research are suggested.
