Graduate Voice Study at Stony Brook

Our Faculty

Vocal Program at Stony Brook

The Vocal Program  at Stony Brook University strives to give each student a personal and unique experience. All singers can expect ample opportunities to perform in recitals, operas and various concert venues.  Many of our graduates have gone on to illustrious national and international careers including two Richard Tucker Award winners. We provide a positive, collaborative learning environment which supports our singers in their goals.

Each year, we present a fully staged opera on the main stage of the Staller Center theater complex as well as a chamber opera in our Recital Hall along with a program of scenes.  Recent main stage productions have included Albert Herring, La Tragédie de Carmen, and Il re pastore. Our chamber operas have included Dialogues des Carmélites, Venus and Adonis, Sāvitri and Dido and Aeneas.
