SENIOR SHOW 2016 Awards

Stony Brook University's President Samuel Stanley has selected a video piece by graduating senior Philippe Kimura-Thollander for his annual Purchase Award from the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery's SENIOR SHOW 2016. The video will be displayed in the President’s campus office.
In addition to the President’s art acquisition, the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Sacha Kopp has selected five Purchase Awards. Senior art majors and minors receiving the Dean’s Purchase Award are: Jenny Lam, Ariel Rahimzada, Ran Ren, Seika Robinson and Guomiao Zou. The student art works acquired by the Dean will be displayed in various campus departments in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Eight students are receiving Staller Center Awards for Excellence for their art works
in the SENIOR SHOW: Andri Achilleos, Stefanie Chen, Ashley D'Auito, Roslyn Dong, NK Laurence, Jenny Lam,
Youra Lee and Kristina Legland. The awards are presented at the Department of Art's
Convocation Ceremony on Friday, May 20 in the Zuccaire Gallery.

The juried SENIOR SHOW 2016 includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photographs, drawings, digital media, mixed-media installations and videos by senior art majors and minors and digital art minors. Faculty members of Stony Brook’s Art Department selected the art works from among the best work of this year’s graduating class.
The SENIOR SHOW 2016 is on view through Friday, May 20.
