WHERE TO PARK - FACULTY AND STAFF

 

Where to Park on Campus with a Faculty/Staff Permit

 

FACULTY/STAFF PARKING LOTS: There are numerous Faculty/Staff parking lots on Stony Brook's campus. If you are a Faculty/Staff permit holder, you are not permitted to park in any other parking area other than a Faculty/Staff lot. 

Faculty/Staff parking lots are enforced Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm. Outside of those hours, these lots are available for use by other types of permit holders without penalty.

The Life Sciences 1, Life Sciences 2 and Simons Center Premium lots (as well as any Faculty/Staff lot with signage indicating 24 hour enforcement) are enforced at all times and only available to Faculty/Staff who have been granted a Premium parking permit for one of these areas.


PARKING GARAGES: The University has three parking garages which are available to Faculty/Staff. Two garages are located on East Campus (the Hospital Garage and the Health Sciences Center Garage) and one is located on West Campus (Administration Garage). View Parking Garage information and rates. 

Faculty/Staff are encouraged to sign up for the Payroll Parking Deduction, which will deduct parking garage fees automatically from their paycheck, to pay for garage services. In order to enroll, State and Research Foundation employees must download, complete and submit the appropriate Payroll Parking Deduction Authorization forms.

 Where to Park on Campus without a Faculty/Staff Permit

 

METERED LOTS: Faculty/Staff members without a permit may park in any Stony Brook University metered lot for a fee of $2.50/hour payable at the lot with a debit or credit card only (no cash is accepted). Metered lots are enforced Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm. Outside of those hours, there is no fee to park in these lots.


PARKING GARAGES: Faculty/Staff members without a permit may park in any Stony Brook University parking garage for an hourly fee. View Parking Garage rates and information.
